Blow-up microphones. Best dressed. A field full of women who knew every single word.

That was She Rocks the Daisies.

We spent 27 August outdoors with good food, live music and a playlist built entirely around the sing-along. Surita Schoeman (Surita Schoeman )hosted, Francois van Hirtum opened the day, Itumeleng Makgati spoke on Africa Now, Philicity Reeken ( Philicity Reeken ) spoke about simply being yourself, and S O S S I brought an hour of pure vibes before the music took over completely.

There were prizes for best dressed, for the best sing-along and for the best dancing. No shortage of contenders for any of them.

She Rocks the Daisies. 🌼
Yesterday Obscure Technologies turned Manna in Pretoria into a festival, handed every guest a blow-up microphone at the door, and let it rip.
Itumeleng Makgati opened with Africa Now. A continent that isn’t waiting for permission and isn’t next in line. She set the tone for the whole day.
Philicity Reeken followed with the one nobody says out loud: just be. Be yourself, take up the space, stop auditioning for a version of you that somebody else wrote.
Then Sossi arrived and brought every ounce of the vibe. An up-and-coming artist and, we’re calling it now, an icon in the making. 🎤
After that it was pure dance floor. Three dance-offs, a best dressed showdown, two power ballads sung at full volume with zero shame, and a crowd that knew every single word to every single song.

Ten years. One night. A whole lot of noise.
In April 2026, Obscure Technologies turned 10, and we marked it the only way we know how: by throwing a celebration that refused to behave like a corporate birthday party. Welcome to Obscureland.
A Tomorrowland-inspired evening at Irene Country Club, packed with our people, our partners, and the suppliers who helped us pull off a night we’ll still be talking about in another decade. Lasers. Live sound. A DJ set that turned a polite mingle into a proper party. And ten years of building one of South Africa’s most disruptive cybersecurity distributors, distilled into a single unforgettable evening.

Nairobi, you showed up and you showed out.

Yesterday's Tenable CyberMeet Kenya at the Radisson Blu Nairobi Upper Hill was everything we hoped it would be and more. A room full of sharp, engaged security professionals ready to have real conversations about exposure management in the AI era.

From the live demos to the Q&A to a fiercely competitive Kahoot session, the energy in the room was something else entirely.
