Sometimes, you can hear learning before you can measure it. ❤️

“YES!” 🙌
“I got it!” 🎉
“YAY!”

Last week, together with the Zenex Foundation, we visited schools to see Mindspark in action — and one of our favourite parts was hearing those moments of excitement when learners got an answer right.

A smile. A high five. A moment of “I finally get it!”

We also had the opportunity to hear from teachers and principals about their experiences and how Mindspark is supporting teaching and learning in the classroom.

We then brought these insights into our PSC feedback session, reflecting on what we’re seeing, listening to feedback and thinking about how we can continue strengthening the implementation and support provided to schools.

A big thank you to the Zenex Foundation for their partnership and for making the implementation of Mindspark in these schools possible. And to the principals, teachers and school teams who welcomed us — thank you for sharing your classrooms and experiences with us.

Because behind every data point is a learner.

And sometimes, the best sign that learning is happening is simply hearing a child shout:

Today, we honour their legacy by celebrating the incredible women who continue to inspire, educate, lead, nurture, and empower every day.

This past week at Edutech...

We're proud to share that we successfully rolled out the isiZulu version of Mindspark across 20 schools in the Pinetown and Umlazi districts.

This milestone represents an important step towards making quality learning more accessible, relevant, and inclusive for learners by providing adaptive mathematics learning with home-language support.

Through this rollout, we're helping to:
📚 Strengthen learners' understanding of mathematical concepts
🎯 Support personalised learning for every learner
👩🏽‍🏫 Equip teachers with meaningful learning insights
🌱 Build stronger foundations for long-term academic success

Real impact isn't measured by the photos we take, but by the lives we touch.

This Mandela Day, our team joined hands with the Tektra (Pty) Ltd team and had the privilege of spending time with the incredible children from the Sahara Shelter for Abused Women and Children.

The colourful handprints on this canvas are more than just paint. They are reminders that even after life's hardest moments, hope still finds a way to leave its mark. They speak of resilience, courage, dreams waiting to be realised, and futures filled with endless possibility.

At Edutech, we believe that Every Child Can. It's more than a tagline - it's a promise that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, to dream, to be loved, and to believe that their future is not defined by their past, but by the endless possibilities that lie ahead.

We may have arrived hoping to make a difference, but we left carrying something far greater. Those little handprints became lasting reminders that kindness leaves an imprint no time can erase. They left a mark on our hearts that will continue to inspire us long after Mandela Day has passed.

As Nelson Mandela so beautifully said:

Every adult was once a child🧒🏻.

A child who dreamed without limits🌠.

A child who simply needed someone to believe in them🫂.

The truth is, not every child gets that chance.

Great things happen when people come together with a shared vision. 💙📚

On 17 June, Edutech, together with Edunova, had the privilege of hosting a Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting with principals, officials from the Pinetown and Umlazi Districts, and teachers from schools implementing MindSpark.

The session was a valuable opportunity to reflect on the first two terms of the MindSpark rollout across 20 schools, share experiences, celebrate progress, and discuss how we can continue making an even greater impact.

Hearing teachers speak about the positive changes they've seen in their classrooms and the improvement in learner performance reminded us why collaboration matters.

"Alone we can do so little; together we can create the systemic change that transforms education and changes the lives of our children."

A sincere thank you to everyone who continues to invest in the future of our learners. Together, we're making STEM education more engaging, more accessible, and more impactful—one classroom at a time.

This Youth Day, we honour the courage and resilience of the young people of 1976 who stood for their right to meaningful education.🙌🏽

Today, our responsibility is to ensure that education goes beyond memorisation - creating classrooms where learners think critically, explore, question, and discover.
