*A BIT OF A PERSONAL UPDATE*

2024 saw a lot of changes for Honeyguide Creative. My right hand lady, Rayne, left to broaden her horizons in South Korea, I moved offices back home and had a bit of a tough year in trying to find a new designer who was a good fit for HG.

In February last year, Shane and I had a wonderful surprise- our rainbow baby. After 12 years of battling fertility problems and two miscarriages, we were hoping this little life would make it. And, by the grace of God, we welcomed our little girl into the world on the 1st November.

So after a lovely maternity leave, HoneyGuide is back up and ready to take on new projects. We have a lovely new designer who we’ll introduce soon 😊 and we have some big things planned for this year.

To my clients who have stood by me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are amazing people and I have genuinely loved every project I have worked on.

If you are passionate about organisation, have great attention to detail and enjoy working in a creative environment, this is the job for you! HoneyGuide Creative is on the hunt for an admin assistant.

This is a full-time office position and would require you to be in the office with our team Monday-Friday. We are based in Pinetown, Durban.

This role would also require you to proofread and check over documents/publications, detect and correct any errors, as well as typesetting documents and insert text into designs, as well as general admin and office duties.

Requirements:

• Fully computer literate
• Attention to detail
• Know your way around the Microsoft suite - Excel and Word are most NB!
• Durban based - with own transportation
• Great proofreading skills
• Adobe Illustrator/InDesign skills are advantageous

It's us! We have a new name and a shiny new logo!!! Over the last 5 years, Heidi Hawyes Graphic Design has been on a journey. This journey has taken us through some incredible highs; we have worked with amazing brands and wonderful people from all around the world. We have experienced such growth, and found ourselves not only surviving but thriving through a global pandemic!

We are so thankful for your constant support, encouragement and trust. With all the growth and change we have been through, we find that we have outgrown our previous brand identity. It has been an intensely creative process, but we are proud to introduce you to the new us.

Seeing familiar objects or patterns in otherwise random or unrelated objects or patterns is called pareidolia. It's a form of apophenia, which is a more general term for the human tendency to seek patterns in random information. Everyone experiences it from time to time.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
Surface pattern design is a challenge we always welcome. Pattern are amazing, intricate, smart and can add so much to any design. This bottle wrap was a project we completed a few years back- but still remember it fondly. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
