Everyone loves the idea of owning a business… until they see what it actually costs.👀
People see flexible hours 🕜and “being your own boss” and assume it’s an easy life—but let’s not confuse privilege with ease.🫠😉
Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely grateful. I love the flexibility, the independence, and being able to make the decisions. It’s a beautiful thing… but don’t be fooled—it’s not a soft life.
It’s earned. It’s carried. And it comes with a weight not everyone fully understands.🏋♀️
People don’t see the stress behind the scenes😵💫, the sacrifices🤧, the constant pressure🥴, the mental load🤯, or the decisions that keep you up at 2am💭 knowing everything ultimately falls on you. This kind of responsibility doesn’t clock out—it follows you home.🏠
Even on the days you’re running on empty, you still have to show up strong.💪
But it’s also incredibly rewarding—and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.🌏
So yes, owning a business is a privilege🥇🏆🙏—but it’s also alot of responsibility, risk, and resilience. It’s demanding. It’s building something while carrying everything at the same time.
To those who carry businesses on their backs every day—you understand this without explanation.🫡🤝
