Introducing Drone Technology to the Next Generation in KZN
There’s something truly special about witnessing the spark of curiosity and excitement in a child’s eyes when they encounter technology for the first time. One of my greatest passions is introducing Drone Technology to kids in schools and rural communities here in KZN, South Africa. Through Awali Academy NPC, I’ve had the privilege of exposing young minds to not only the marvel of drones but also to fundamental digital skills that are becoming essential in our modern world.
It warms my heart to see children who might have never encountered such technology light up with fascination and enthusiasm. These experiences remind me of the incredible potential that lies within our youth, just waiting to be ignited by exposure and opportunity.
I am deeply committed to this vision and am actively working towards obtaining my own drone license to enhance my capabilities in this field. Additionally, securing funding would enable me to reach even more communities, empowering the next generation with knowledge and skills that could shape their futures.
At Awali Academy, we also aspire to use drones for good – from human aid and search and rescue missions to community safety and security. It’s about leveraging technology to make a positive impact where it matters the most.
Alongside this initiative, I am proud to be a part of Drone Views Africa, a small business dedicated to capturing the beauty of African towns and communities through drone photography and videography. Our mission is to showcase the vibrant landscapes and cultures of Africa from a unique perspective. You can catch a glimpse of this journey on our YouTube channel: .Africa.
The journey has just begun, and I am excited to see where it leads. If you’re passionate about education, technology, or community upliftment, let’s connect and explore ways to collaborate. Together, we can inspire and equip the future leaders and innovators of tomorrow.
