In 2016 Disrupt Africa spoke with Dronescan co-founder Craig Leppan about things such as indoor drone flying with indoor navigation which uses warehouse metrics to guide the drone in spaces where GPS is not available.

Indoor drone flying without GPS can be very intimidating and even dangerous. Dronescan has developed a system that enables drones to be flown safely inside a warehouse.

Dronescan was featured in the online publication Ventureburn, where Jasper Pons highlights the very real benefits and cost savings that can be enjoyed by companies wishing to streamline their existing warehouse management system.

Even though the article was a few years ago all of the benefits discussed herein are still exactly the same. All of our products are continually being improved upon by our R&D technicians.

Now, Durban-based software startup DroneScan is using drones to scan barcoded items in warehouses shelved too high to maximise efficiency.
