2022 multidimensional poverty index survey and Worldbank states that :

64,6% of people living in Nigeria ( 163 million people) are multidimensional poor( extreme poverty) Making them the 2nd world capital of poverty ,as over half of their population is in poverty..with a total population of 216million , and GDP of $555,346 billion and GDP per capita of $2,345 which is not enough to the population ,this pulls the country to be ranked as a low developed county, with unemployment rate of 33.3% , with a estimated number of +85million people (1st globally) living without electricity access this classify the country as a low income country .

Left Venezuela to Costa Rica with $220 USD, took a year to find stable work as an IT computer repair.

That only lasted 6 months because of problems with the company.

Found another company, a software company that I worked there for almost 2 years (Without really revealing my full knowledge since they would not have hired me because of being over qualified).

After quitting because of many internal ethical issues with the company I left the company with only $1200 in the Bank. $1200 was at the time a Month and half of rent with very limited food or a one way trip back to Venezuela for my wife which at the time of quitting was pregnant with my first born.

She told me, we stay, we work, we continue. So I stayed as an independent software freelancer but this time slowly mentioned what I actually knew to the clients.... that was 8 years ago.

Wanna talk about scariest move? Leave your country and everything. Start with almost nothing in your pocket, then leave the company with a baby coming up on a country that is not cheap at all and without anyone to help you.

This story is about a System Engineer with 2 masters, a specialization and energy to continue because the world is not going to give you a helping hand any time soon. It is in fact, the world, who needs a helping hand and there is no time to give up. Ever.
