A Viral Competition and a Lesson Learned
Last year, I saw the potential of WhatsApp APIs and chatbots firsthand. I hosted a competition that leveraged this technology, and let's just say it went a little crazy! My trusty WhatsApp chatbot, named after yours truly, became so popular that my phone practically overheated. It was an amazing (and slightly overwhelming) experience. However, thanks to the training I'd given my chatbot and the finely tuned email series workflow, I was able to connect with a staggering 36,000 people. This involved sending hundreds of thousands of personalized messages across WhatsApp and email – all without getting flagged as a spammer! Believe me, that's no easy feat in today's marketing landscape where spam filters are more sophisticated than ever. The key is fostering a two-way conversation, not a one-sided blast.
