We are proud to celebrate one of our CodeTelligence Academy student Siwamkele Matutu who recently completed a 2-week Job Shadowing Programme with Nedscaper! π»π
During this valuable experience, our student had the opportunity to gain practical exposure to the world of Cybersecurity and Security Operations, while learning directly from industry professionals.
Throughout the two weeks, the student explored key areas such as:
πΉ Security Operations Centre (SOC) β Understanding how security incidents are monitored, prioritised and managed based on severity.
πΉ SIEM & Ticketing Integration β Gaining insight into how security monitoring tools work together with ticketing systems.
πΉ Incident Management β Learning how cybersecurity teams respond to and track security incidents.
πΉ Real-World Cybersecurity Practices β Connecting classroom knowledge with practical industry experience.
This job shadowing opportunity provided an important bridge between learning and the workplace, allowing our student to build confidence, develop professional skills and gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to work in the cybersecurity industry. π
