One of my current projects: I am enjoying working on Namgate's brand identity and website. The colours are so rich - I tried to capture Namibia in the colours and texture.

Project scope: revamp of existing logo and brand. Re-design of website.

Namgate is a guesthouse in Namibia. Part of the business also includes Vleisstal Butchery.

Super excited with Helena from 1ne s.p.a! We launched 1ne s.p.a’s new brand identity and website this morning.

1ne s.p.a’s rebranding started in its 5th business year and with the encouragement of a 1ne s.p.a client who’s coached with me since the start.

The time arrived to differentiate and appropriately reposition Helena’s brand in the market. This meant aligning visual representation of her values, vision and “personality” into the brand identity.

The brand identity essentially symbolizes the foundation of what she represents in her clients’ business. The new brand identity helps furthermore to build client loyalty and trust because of the connection between Helena and 1ne s.p.a, the company.

By times it is easy to fall into the trap of comparison. It will surely leave one feeling not good enough. Focus to stop
this intentionally and remember that we are made uniquely (unique in who we are, what we feel and what we create).

Tech Friday:
Using Boomerang for mini videos

There are many apps and tools to create mini videos that we all see
everyone is using to creating fun short videos on Instagram.

Boomerang is one of the very easy ones to use. Download it from the Play Store.

How it works: find something or someone that is moving or doing something of interest. Tap the one and only button on the app, Boomerang does the rest. It shoots a burst of 10 photos and turns them into a delightful mini video.

Share it on Facebook or Instagram right from the app, or save your video to your cameral roll to share later. Njoy!

Sneak peek: Packaging Design for Kozma and Kozma Salon

More about client:

Things are done a bit differently at Kozma & Kozma. They are not your mainstream salon,nor do they want to be. Consider them a rebellion against the generic. They are also proud to say they are Naturally Curly Hair experts!

The owners, Hillary and Mike Kozma, are two Americans from Oregon State and a powerful husband and wife team.

Hillary is a creative and retired senior hair stylist, and focuses on running the business.

Mike works hard behind the scenes to run the business (we call him the Wizard of Oz).

He is an analytical visionary who is constantly dreaming of how to take the company to the next level. Hillary & Mike have an incredible amount of love for this company.

The salon team are like family. Together, anything is possible!

Soon, they will be launching their own line of Curly Friendly Products and Tools. This is where I fit in. I am having an amazing time designing labels for their range of hair tools and products for curly hair. They are launching the tools very soon and part of the product range will follow.

This project makes me super excited to see how different countries work together to make this dream a reality for Hillary and Mike (Italy lab creating products, People Republic of China - tools, South Africa - packaging design and last but not least American visionaries!).

I can't wait to post pack shots as soon as we are done! Watch this space.

Always be thankful...I am so lucky to have enough office space.

I totally fell in love with the pin I came across on Pinterest..maybe it's time to revamp.

There is nothing better than having a work space that echoes your passion!
