The festive season is upon us and gradually we are all getting into the festive spirit, choosing gifts, doing last minute present runs and braving the crowds at the malls, all while practicing social distancing. We here at COREX sincerely hope that the shopping season is kind and that you get all the gifts you were wishing for!
2020 has come and is soon to pass. It was a divisive year filled with many trials and challenges, without consideration for the lockdown and pandemic but it has also seen a
revolution in how we work and how we play. As we sit back and take stock of the year, we see that the pandemic has accelerated South Africa’s “Digital Transformation” in all sectors
and for every citizen. We adapted how we collaborate, communicate, integrate with each other, and how we managed our business remotely. This has accelerated Cloud Computing,
Virtual Meetings, Work-from-home, Network Access, Internet Access, Productivity Software and Mobility Solutions and we adapted business processes and how to manage and be
managed, all while more than 50% of our work was done at home and some continues to be done at home.
2021 is poised to be a revolutionary year as we all continue to adopt and adapt to the new normal, and with the pending POPI Act being fully adopted in July 2021, a wealth of opportunity
lies ahead for those who are ready to embrace it. Business Compliance, Network Readiness and Audit, SaaS, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Cloud Services, Remote Management and
Monitoring, these are just some of the opportunities. While the pandemic and lockdown posed a lot of negatives, there is tremendous growth and opportunity that has arisen from it. I am
more certain than ever that we are only just scratching the surface of the opportunities that lay in front of us and I am ensuring that COREX is in the right position to be ready for and take
advantage of the massive growth potential stemming from the “new normal”. The question is… Are you ready?
