Samthing is happening, Cape Town!

A Saturday afternoon show at 12 o'clock, and the venue was nearly sold out. You knew it had to be something special.

The moment Samthing Soweto walked onto the stage at the Baxter Concert Hall, the audience leapt to their feet. Every lyric was sung back word for word, and from that first note, the party had officially begun.

The Good Morning Live Cape Town leg took place at the Baxter Concert Hall. This is a naturally reverberant space, renowned for classical performances rather than amplified concerts, making it a demanding venue for live sound.

We deployed a d&b audiotechnik V-Series system with two arrays of six V-Series cabinets per side, V7P outfills, J-Subs and E8 front fills, all mixed on Allen & Heath dLive S5000 and S3500 consoles.

With a packed house singing at full voice, the ambient noise level was incredible. Even so, the system delivered exceptional clarity, headroom and consistent coverage throughout the venue, handling the energy of both the performance and the audience with ease.
