Introducing the team

Type Me is a business that has been started by three women, and more importantly it was started by three sisters. Our goal is to encourage everyone to love themselves as they are without comparison being made to any other person.

Initially Type Me was about loving your hair type. As 'type 4' girls we have first-hand knowledge of the stigma that surrounds afro textured hair (we've heard it all) but we also acknowledge that anyone can struggle with accepting their hair type or any other part of themself.

Type Me hopes to destroy the weight & stigma that accompanies labels by reminding people that they are amazing as they are. We want people to break the barriers of what 'beauty' is because everyone is beautiful. Everyone has always been beautiful but society convinced us that there is a checklist that surrounds beauty. Type Me is about being yourself (loud&proud) and loving yourself as you are, inside and out.

Mixed°ish, a new series debuting coming through with such an important message.

Synopsis:
After a teacher tells Rainbow to make sure her hair is "neat" for picture day, she becomes self-conscious and begins a complicated relationship with her hair

How we all can relate to this statement.

When we reflect to our own schooling days we realize that it is on school you felt your hair should be a certain way to deem it as "neat". We are in a new decade, let us break the stigma of what "neat hair" exactly is!
