Wirk is proud to offer BetoSys, a business software solution developed by DSA for the concrete and construction materials industries.

As a BetoSys reseller, Wirk helps businesses access a system designed to connect key operational areas. With multiple modules working from a shared central database, BetoSys reduces duplicate data entry, improves information flow and gives teams a clearer view of their operations.

The system can also be adapted to suit the processes, structure and requirements of each business, providing a flexible solution that can grow alongside the organisation.

Legacy software does not always need to be replaced. But it does need to be understood.

Modernising a legacy system can mean rebuilding, replacing or improving what is already there. The right approach depends on the system itself, how the business uses it and what needs to change.

In our latest article, we look at the different approaches to legacy system modernisation, the risks involved and what businesses should consider before starting.

At our WIRK Women’s Day Breakfast, Madeleine Fulton reminded us that caring for ourselves is not a luxury it’s a source of strength.
Our health shapes how we show up, lead, connect and grow. And meaningful change doesn’t have to happen all at once.
Small, consistent actions can build stronger, healthier lives over time.

Thank you, Madeleine, for sharing such a powerful reminder: when we take care of ourselves, we strengthen our power to thrive.

On Friday, 14 August, we were at the S4 Technology Open Day, connecting with industry professionals, sharing ideas and experiencing some of the technology and thinking driving the sector forward.

With the rapid rise of AI and emerging technologies, conversations around smarter, more adaptable digital solutions are becoming increasingly important. It was especially encouraging to see the interest in Wirk’s custom software services and to hear how people responded to the possibilities of technology built around real business needs.

The day gave us a valuable opportunity to engage with people on the ground, hear their perspectives and gather feedback that will help shape how we continue to develop and deliver meaningful solutions.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to connect with us and be part of the conversation.

Madeleine Fulton, Wellness Manager from our Wirk team, had the privilege of participating as one of the panellists at the Nelson Mandela Bay Business ChamberMandela Bay Business Chamber Annual Ladies Breakfast, alongside Ms Hazel Khumalo from ABSA and Dr Shelly Barry from Nelson Mandela University. The panel was facilitated by Bradley Goldman.

The theme was about redefining what 'yes' means to us. It encouraged women to say yes to opportunities and growth, but also to recognise that not every yes serves us. Sometimes saying yes to ourselves means setting boundaries, protecting our wellbeing and having the confidence to say no.

Madeleine shared her perspective, drawing on her background in both wellness and the corporate world, particularly around the importance of recognising our capacity and not compromising our wellbeing in the pursuit of success.

As women, we often feel pressure to say yes to opportunities, responsibilities, expectations and the needs of others. But saying yes to everything can come at the expense of our own wellbeing. Saying no is just as important to protect our priorities and to create space for the things that matter most.

And sometimes the most important 'yes' we can say is yes to ourselves.

Thank you to the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber for creating the platform, bringing together such an interesting group of women and to Ms Niqui Cloete-Barrass for entertaining us.

Trust isn’t built when everything runs perfectly. It’s built in how you respond when it doesn’t.

At Wirk, we believe in being the kind of partner who shows up when it matters most.

That’s how trust is earned, especially when things go wrong.

Before comparing quotes, compare what is actually included.

A strong software proposal should consider factors such as project requirements, technical complexity, system integrations, testing, security, deployment and ongoing support.

A reputable software partner takes the time to understand your business and define the full project scope upfront, reducing the risk of unexpected costs later.
