The experience begins today at Swartkop Air Force Base, Pretoria. As part of the opening day's learner-focused programme, Armscor SOC Ltd is engaging young minds through its Youth Development Programme (YDP) and campaign.

These selected learners will have an opportunity to engage with Armscor teams from Dockyard, Ergotech and Protechnik, while exploring opportunities in science, technology, engineering and innovation.

The public can visit the Armscor exhibition stand tomorrow at Hangar 4, Swartkop Air Force Base and discover the people, capabilities and technologies helping shape South Africa's future.

South Africa’s oceans are more than a natural resource; they are a strategic asset linked to trade, security, innovation and economic growth.
Today, Armscor Soc participated in the Oceans Economy Conference & Expo 2026 in Cape Town, where leaders from government, defence, maritime industry and private sectors were engaging on the future of maritime security and strategic economic security.
Through IMT and Dockyard, Armscor showcased capabilities that support maritime research, technology, testing and evaluation, naval sustainment and operational readiness.
As the oceans economy continues to grow, Armscor remains committed to supporting a secure, capable and sustainable maritime future for South Africa and the continent.

Armscor has issued a media statement following the official launch of the Drone Pilot Training Programme, delivered in partnership with Ntsu Aviation Academy.
Launched today in Midrand, the four-month programme will empower 10 selected SMMEs, including women-owned, youth-owned and military veteran-linked enterprises, with accredited drone pilot training, operating licences and drone kits.
Through this Enterprise and Supplier Development initiative, Armscor is supporting emerging businesses to access opportunities in the growing aviation and technology sectors, while advancing inclusive economic participation, skills development and sustainable empowerment.
