🚀 Turning Complex Challenges into Reliable Solutions

At Axiom, we specialise in building custom software and applications that are truly tailored to your unique business needs.
A great example is FlowSense — the custom monitoring application we developed for SewTreat, a leading South African company that designs, installs, and manages water treatment and wastewater treatment plants across the region.

The Challenge
Their previous app had become a “white elephant” — fully built but largely unusable because they couldn’t reliably extract real-time data from the water plants’ PLC systems.

The Axiom Difference
Before writing a single line of production code, we rolled up our sleeves and proved it could be done. Using a local microcontroller, we tested sending and receiving data in the exact format the PLCs use. Once we confirmed feasibility, we moved quickly to a live proof-of-concept, successfully pulling real plant data from an operational site.

With validation secured, we developed the full custom application. We’re now on version 3 of FlowSense, and it’s delivering real value every day.

The platform now enables SewTreat to remotely monitor a large portfolio of water and wastewater treatment plants serving major clients across Africa — including shopping malls, lodges, and even a large food & retail distribution centre in Gauteng.
