When I wrote Gifted, I wasn't thinking of my skills or talents but life itself as it is a greater gift from God the all mighty but been gifted life that in order to survive you have to do what it takes, thats where my story begin.
About the chorus, I think is dope because of that old rap type music make it feels like a legacy jam and the message is simple;
"It sucks man
Am tired living life like is just a f**ken subject
Am gifted
But the game demand more, which that I regret"
"It took me whole of my life to get here"
Which is true and I will not stop now trying to live the life I so desire on Earth as is my Paradise to make out of this Hell Hole am living in.
When I said "am not on pension - I gig deep Hell's holes" I meant I dont get money for free I work hard like any body else cause yes music dont have money if you dont make money with it back.
Sometimes in life I do feel like giving up cause I do feel like am doing this for the world that dont care and support my crafts but the feeling is just one of my circumstances that try'na darken my light.
I understand everything has it's own time and through hard work only then my music can put food in the table and my own blood would start believe in me and my dream, or less is just a dream...
Whats nice about a dream is, it only exist in your mind as a full clear picture to others is just words when you try to share, like now so lemme keep this worries to myself and be like lil wayne "I aint got no worries"...
Trust in the process of becoming (something more than myself) something greater in our generation of HipHop, Music Industry in general and in life.
