How it Works

We’ve all been a situation where we’ve borrowed someone a sum money, say R1000, only to have them not return it as promised. Your efforts of reminding them of the loan yielded no results, you very soon found out that they paid their other debts and repaying your loan was at the bottom of their priority list.

What were your options?, you’ve contacted them multiple times with the hope that they would appreciate the urgency and pressing need for them to repay you, only to have them stop answering your calls, nevermind avoiding you completely. Another option was to approach the courts, but in all honesty, how many of us were prepared to hire a lawyer to help us pursue a R1000 debt. Quite often, a majority of us felt like we had no other choice but to settle for the 3rd option, and that was to write off the debt, vowing to never again lend that individual any amount of money no matter what (we’ve even attacked them of social media).

Well, U-O-ME ) is available to offer you a 4th option. U-O-ME gives you the opportunity to make use of our vast expertise and experience in debt recovery at low risk and cost to you. We charge commission on the money collected, the commission percentage is largely determined by the amount of money being pursued.

Wealth Destroyers (part 1)
Our economy is in the midst of a recession and being in the know is key. You won’t thrive in a volatile economy without wealth generating habits. Without these habits, you’ll get stuck with the same growth or losses as everyone else.
Let’s highlight the top wealth destroyers that can derail your investments and financial health:

1. Expensive credit purchases
The need for instant gratification drives one's financial decisions and significantly harms the ability to save, invest and build meaningful wealth. Avoid using debt to purchase luxury or consumable goods

2. Lack of Self-control
Allowing emotions to rule our decision-making. It takes a lot of discipline to delay instant gratification and put it the hard work and investments that will only bear fruit at a future date

3. Inflation
We’re often told that inflation to build and stabilize the economy, and the Reserve uses inflation to “stimulate” the economy through means of introducing more cash into circulation and causing an adjustment to prime interest rates. But this weakens the purchasing power of each rand inflation makes everything cost more. We have to work harder to pay for the same products or services. How does this relate to your investments?
When prices go up 3 percent, it doesn’t seem like a lot, but over time it compounds. The question to ask is, “Are my savings and investments guaranteed to keep up with inflation?” Inflation punishes savers as some interest rates fail to keep up with inflation, thus eating into their savings and making them poorer

Serial Non-Payers

There are plenty of villains walking amongst us, and a majority of those consist of serial non-payers. They leave behind a trail of debt, refusing to pay most of the people they hire or commit to. You might be able to sense their creepiness at first sight, but more often than not, you miss it. These people are professionals. They have done this many times, and they know exactly how to dupe you. What’s more, they stopped feeling bad about their behaviour long ago. If you have been unlucky enough to work with this type scam artist – you need to put up a fight and not just be added to the long list of victims.

* UOME requires a deposit of R100 on each referral

Previously, we've had people refer cases only to find that the claim was not valid, but were actions of disgruntled individuals (and pranksters) wanting to utilise our call centre, as means to harass a targeted individual. Once we levied a deposit of R100 on each referral, there was a drastic drop in such instances as referring a matter came at a cost to the pranksters
