Yesterday, the sales teams across our organisation came together at MonteCasino to kick off the new financial year and the start of Horizon 3 in our Transformative Growth strategy.

Our Group CEO Werner Kapp set the tone with three themes for the year: build the paranoia of champions, create systems that outlast moments, and transform tomorrow with today's actions.

UFC Middleweight World Champion Dricus Du Plessis joined us for an unfiltered conversation on resilience and what it takes to build something world-class from African soil. His message landed hard: bravery isn't about fearlessness but about the capacity to absorb loss and still stand tall.

We closed by hearing from the people who matter most: our customers, and celebrating our top sales achievers from FY26. The people who made the calls nobody heard, built the relationships nobody saw, and delivered the results we celebrated last night.

On Saturday, we launched our MathU 2026 programme surrounded by the people who matter most: employees and their families, from spouses and siblings to aunts, cousins, and kids. It was the kind of room that reminds you why this work matters.

Last year, we supported 137 children through MathU. This year, we've nearly doubled that to 256: 208 children of employees and 47 from the broader Soweto community. All of them now have access to AI-powered maths and science support from Grade 7 through to matric.

MathU is part of a broader commitment to education and skills development that spans six decades, from foundational maths and science support, to ICT bursaries through our Ascent programme, to learnerships that create pathways into technology careers. It starts with the belief that investing in our people means investing in their families too.

We’re proud to welcome the class of 2026 to our Ascent Bursary Programme.

Ascent supports family members of Altron employees pursuing IT qualifications - because investing in skills is one of the ways we .

Since launching in 2024, the programme has supported 23 bursars across seven operating companies, achieving a 100% pass rate. This year’s cohort of 14 reflects growing ambition, with more learners pursuing degrees and diplomas.

We’re also seeing bursars transition into careers within Altron, including Tswellang Machaka and Kgomotso Letswalo at Altron FinTech.
