We're looking for 2 amazing Back-End Software Developer contributors for the long-term, and we're willing to invest in you.
Because we're a startup, new employees will be offered equity
About you:
✓ You’ve worked as a software engineer for at least 5 years (including relevant internships)
✓You're skilled in languages and technologies for systems-level engineering, e.g. C/C++, Rust, JavaScript & Python (especially but not necessarily)
✓ You care deeply about your craft. We want to build a future where anyone can access a high quality consultant, so we want to make sure we get things right the first time. And we’re building a SaaS product, so automated testing will be essential for continuous delivery.

While definitely not necessary, we’ll be even more excited about you if you:
✓ Already know Python programming language
✓ Have worked as a software engineer for five years or more
✓ Know JavaScript
✓Have significant experience with backend systems at scale, especially ones that are mission-critical and high availability
✓ Have worked on enterprise applications, developer tools, or on-premises software
✓ Have experience in AWS cloud computing, especially database automation
✓ Like connecting directly with customers
✓ Have experience with infrastructure technologies like Google Cloud Computing, AWS, or Microsoft Azure
✓Have a Computer Science degree or equivalent
✓ Can show a Web-based portfolio or resume
Mergemega provided pay range
Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience
Base pay range
R15 000/pm - R25 000/pm
The Technical Requirements for the role will be as follows:
Design and develop applications using relevant language stacks including and not limited to Node.js, Java, PHP, C++ and Python
Understand Node.js frameworks (e.g. Express, Koa, Hapi)
Advanced experience with unit testing
Front end JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Vue.js, Angular)
RESTful web services like AWS (e.g. S3, EC2, ECS, EKS and RDS), Google Cloud (Firebase) and Azure
Relational and graph databases
Compliance projects and security policy development and implementation
Security initiatives or delivered security training
T- Cloud technologies like AWS and containerization (Dock), Google Cloud and Azure
Must write well designed, testable, efficient code
Must be familiar with PHP, C++ and Python coding (with some knowledge of AI machine learning )
The ability to skill-fully and constructively code review developer pull requests
Experience in the documentation of all of the above
