Good day
We are currently experiencing a fiber outage in the Eastern Freestate. Our lines a long with other ISPs are all impacted.We have notified Openserve regarding the problem and are awaiting their feedback.

Subsea cable operator MainOne believes seismic activity is the likely cause of a submarine cable break that disrupted Internet services in West Africa and South Africa.

We have experienced a major fiber break on the Openserve Fiberline. This has impacted both our main and redundancy lines. Openserve technicians and contractors are currently on site, pulling in new cables and splicing them. As a result of this fiber break, our internet service will likely be affected for the entire night. We apologize for the delay in service delivery that this has caused our customers.

Vandag was 'n groot toets vir ons gewees. 3x van ons torings was vandag deur weerlig getref. Die eerste een in Frankfort se rigting en later vanmiddag 2x hooftorings wat Senekal bedien asook die internet na ander dorpe versprei. Tussen 15:00 en 18:00 sou die internet vir 50% van ons kliënte baie stadig gewees het omdat die buitedorpe se data herlei moes word via 'n ander roete wat nie 5x dorpe se data kan hanteer nie.
Ons het al 3x torings vandag herstel en ons kliënte se data loop nou weer soos dit moet.
Baie dankie vir almal se geduld rakende die tyd toe die internet nie gewerk het soos dit moes nie.
