Received this message yesterday [27 May 2026]:
โI went to my neurology appointment today, which constitutes the bulk of my condition, and they mentioned that there has been drastic upper-body improvement. My mom mentioned the machine, and they said I should continue because Iโve improved since last year April.โ
She has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 3 and has been doing once-weekly KineDek AI-CRT sessions since 17 June 2025. The following has been observed over the past 11 months:
- significant lean muscle growth where there was previously only flaccidity and muscle wasting
- ability to use a standard wheelchair, which was not possible at the previous assessment
- improvements in standing ability
- major improvements in overall body comfort, including the absence of chronic pain
- spinal straightening and improved postural support
- improved energy and well-being
It should be noted that SMA (Spinal-Muscular Atrophy) is a progressive degenerative disease marked by ongoing neuromuscular decline, and this pattern of deterioration had been consistent for 17 years. The above now demonstrates a sustained and measurable reversal in function, strength, and structural support over the past 11 months with once-weekly KineDek AI-CRT intervention.
Most notably, specialists who had previously indicated that corrective spinal surgery was becoming imminent have now stated that surgery is no longer necessary at this stage.
The next major objective over the coming year is to continue rebuilding lower-body and leg strength in the lead-up to her 21st birthday on 17 August 2027, with the hope of restoring enough lower-limb function and stability to achieve full physical independence.
While this remains a representative, hypothesis-generating case, the degree of neuromuscular improvement being observed in a long-term genetic muscle-wasting condition is highly noteworthy.
