We are urgently looking for a Junior IT support specialist.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Installation and configuring of computer hardware, operating systems and applications
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
• Troubleshooting systems and network problems and diagnosing hardware and software problems
• Serve as help desk through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone, to help resolve issues
• Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
• Support the roll out of new systems to different branches / or client offices
• Set up new user accounts and deal with password issues
• Respond within agreed time limits to support requests
• Testing and evaluating new technology
• Email and Internet troubleshooting and Support
• Network troubleshooting and of routers, LTE Modems and switches essential
• Must be able to Configure Port forwarding as well as Dynamic DNS
• Must be able to provide remote support using Applications such as Teamviewer and Anydesk
• Configuring and troubleshooting Network printers
• Basic server administration and support
• Escalate any unresolved issues to the IT manager
• Assist with all adhoc duties required in the department
Essential Requirements and qualifications
• Relevant tertiary IT qualification
• 2+ years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance
• Code 8 or 10 drivers licence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
Must be able to work weekend standby on a rotational basis
• Proficiency in :
- Server 2012+
- Windows 10 Support
- Micrososft 365
- Network Support(troubleshooting)
- Installation of computer hardware,
operating systems and applications
- Azure AD (advantageous)
