INTRODUCING THE ALL-NEW DJI AVATA

DJI, the world’s leader in civilian drones and creative camera technology, on Thursday launched the Avata, a transformational new drone that offers an unparalleled experience of immersive flight.

Alongside the Avata, DJI announced its new Goggles 2 and Motion controller, both of which are designed specifically for first-person view (FPV) drone.

The Avata creates a new paradigm for FPV drone flight, allowing every pilot to race through the skies and feel its astonishing performance, agility, and easy control.

At the heart of the Avata is a Type 1/1.7 (7.6x5.7mm) CMOS sensor capable of capturing 48MP stills, 4K video at up to 60 frames per second (fps) and 2.7K video at up to 120fps.

In front of the sensor is an ultra-wide-angle lens with a viewing angle of up to 155º and a fixed F2.8 aperture. As with DJI’s recent drones, the Avata is equipped with D-Cinelike color mode for more flexible post production workflows.

Coupled with the new Goggles 2 and the intuitive Motion Controller, the Avata delivers a flight experience that was unimaginable until now.
