PUMA Energy's latest video commercial is a stunning masterpiece of creativity and innovation that deserves an award. The video features a dynamic visual effect of a moving subject amidst a backdrop of other people and objects seemingly suspended in motion, evoking a powerful sense of contrast.

This visual effect (VFX) resembles the famous impressions from the Matrix trilogy that grabbed people’s attention due to the cutting-edge visual effects this storytelling offered.

Every detail in the production of the commercial was meticulously planned, from the precise positioning of stationary people and objects to the choreography of the moving subject. The VFX not only enhanced the visual impact but also enriched the narrative by highlighting the interaction between the dynamic and static elements.

A notable example of this technique can be found in Christopher Nolan's mind-bending film "Inception," where this effect is taken a notch higher to create magical storytelling.

The Apple Logo Evolution

Apple's logo, the one depicting a literal apple with a bite taken out of it, is among the most recognizable in the world. It was created by graphic designer Rob Janoff in 1977 and has persisted in a variety of iterations ever since. But did you know that it wasn't the first logo used by the company?

Ronald Wayne, who co-founded Apple Computer Company alongside Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, designed the company's first logo. The black and white sketch illustrates Sir Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree, complete with a quote from English poet that reads, "Newton... a mind forever voyaging through strange seas of thought... alone."

Jobs, however, wasn't fully satisfied with the logo and wanted something that would be easier to reproduce in a small size. He also reportedly wanted the company name and logo to be "fused as one." In early 1977, he commissioned marketing firm Regis McKenna - and specifically, Janoff - to design a new logo. In April of the same year, the iconic rainbow Apple logo made its debut alongside the Apple II computer.

The current apple logo is now one of the sleekest and famous logos in the world. Steve Jobs’s decision to hire Janoff, and go for a minimal styled logo (which is currently in fashion and may have started the “flat” logo craze) was another genius choice by the enigmatic founder.
