Uh oh! Here is another nasty email scam to avoid.
This one informs you that you have paid your Telstra bill twice and can apply for a refund.
If you follow the link you go to a page that has some Telstra badging and asks for your account details to repay the money to you.
I am often asked why people attempt to hack websites, and this is the reason.
The owners of this site (thinkific-dot-com)have been hacked and a fake page has been generated. Once the hack is discovered there is unlikely to be any way to trace the hacker or recover any funds they have stolen.
As always, be cautious. Check any link carefully before clicking on it and, if you think something involving money may be genuine, phone the company for confirmation - don't fill out an online form.
