2026 is the year of agentic AI, but security hasn't kept pace.

In his recent article for Forbes Tech, Secure Code Warrior's CEO breaks down the NSA's new "security by design" guidance for AI enablement, and what CISOs must do to set guardrails without slowing innovation.

Read it here:

As agentic AI accelerates, security leaders need new guardrails for MCP, including greater visibility, targeted training and governance.

What a day at AdelaideSEC 2026! 🎉

Our team hit the ground at AISA's Adelaide Cyber Security Conference for a day of sharp conversations, sharper code, and a Secure Code Warrior Tournament that brought out the competitive spirit in Adelaide's security community.

Great turnout at our booth, with developers and security leaders stopping by to talk through how AI-generated code is changing the risk equation and what it takes to govern it at scale.

Thank you to the AISA team for a well-run event, and to everyone who stopped by to chat, compete, or just say hello. Stop AI software risk at the source! See you at the next one.

Two perspectives, one problem: securing software as AI agents take on more of the coding.

Join us September 9 for a live session with:

🔹 Kawin Boonyapredeeto, CISO Advisory at KnowBe4 — on how the engineer's role is evolving from writing code to directing it, and what that shift means for security and engineering leaders.

🔹 Pieter Danhieux, CEO & Co-Founder of Secure Code Warrior — sharing findings from the SCW AI Trust Index, a benchmark of how AI coding models handle security, including how to spot AI and MCP influence in your pipeline.

Secure Code Warrior and KnowBe4 partnered earlier this year to bring secure coding content into KnowBe4's training library — this session builds on that partnership.

AI can write code, but can it write secure code?

In this DevOps.com article, CEO Pieter Danhieux examines the findings of a recent Secure Code Warrior study on whether today’s leading LLMs are equally good (or bad) at building secure software.

The findings are eye-opening: there’s no universal winner. Model performance varies significantly by framework, security category, and even the cost of an agentic workflow. More expensive doesn’t necessarily mean more secure.

As AI-generated code becomes a bigger part of software development, choosing the right model, and understanding its security strengths and weaknesses, matters.

An SCW study finds a large variance in how frontier and budget LLMs perform across different frameworks, and the striking cost variance.

Secure Code Warrior is a proud sponsor of German OWASP Day 2026. 🇩🇪

Join us September 23–24 in Karlsruhe at IHK Haus der Wirtschaft for Germany's leading application security conference, with training days, a Diversity PreCon, and a full program of technical talks on the 24th.

AI-generated code is changing what "secure development" means. We're looking forward to connecting with the German AppSec community to talk about what it takes to govern every line of AI-generated code, from commit to production.

If you're attending, let us know; we'd love to connect.

AI enables faster development cycles and allows developers to focus on higher-value work and for many businesses, these efficiencies are becoming essential to remain competitive.

The challenge, therefore, is not whether to adopt AI, but how to do so responsibly. In this KBI.Media article, Secure Code Warrior's CTO shares expert opinions on how organizations can position themselves to benefit from AI-assisted development while reducing risk:

Australian businesses embracing artificial intelligence to boost software development are being warned that the productivity gains could come at a significant cybersecurity cost unless governance keeps pace.

Stop AI software risk at the source…that's the conversation we're having in London this September!

Secure Code Warrior will be at the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit, 22–24 September, ExCeL London.

AI is rewriting how software gets built, and governance hasn't caught up. If your team is trying to answer questions like "which AI tools touched the code in production" or "can we prove the reviewer was qualified,” that's exactly what we'll be talking about on the show floor.

Booth number coming soon. Save the date, and we'll see you there.

AI model prices have dropped, but token usage costs are soaring as autonomous AI agents generate numerous LLM calls.

This surge presents a tough challenge for CISOs: Cutting costs with cheaper tokens risk security gaps and hidden technical debt in their ADLC.

Secure Code Warrior's CEO offers expert strategies to help strike the right balance between savings and security in TechRadar:

Token use can create unexpected, sizeable costs for organizations

Industry experts have reacted to the recent autonomous attack on Hugging Face servers by rogue OpenAI agents, with Secure Code Warrior's CEO and Co-founder calling it a “crucible moment” for cybersecurity. He warns that the industry is moving too fast and "we need to slow down before it’s too late.”

Despite ongoing regulatory efforts, he stresses the urgency: “AI is already escaping its guardrails; AI is already attacking autonomously.” In fact, the research-backed SCW AI Trust Index reveals that no AI model is universally secure, with AI-generated code averaging 15 vulnerabilities per codebase.

In this Cyber Daily article, industry experts discuss modern software supply chain risks and strategies for stronger security. Read it here:

According to one expert, AI guardrails are not designed as “security boundaries” but rather to influence behaviour – but what if that behaviour is hacking one of your industry partners?
