We are seeing a wave of phishing messages currently circulating. Scammers are using links like the example below to trick users into handing over passwords, compromising accounts, or quietly installing malicious software.
The golden rule: If you aren't expecting a link, or if the URL looks even slightly off, do not click it. Delete the message immediately.
What if you already clicked?
Don't panic, but act quickly. If you opened the link or entered any information:
Disconnect your device from your Wi-Fi or mobile network immediately to prevent further data access.
Contact an experienced computer technician as soon as possible to scan your system, secure your network, and ensure your data remains safe.
Stay safe online!
