Merry festive season to all.

Is Google kinda… over? 👀

So I was reading this new study from Semrush (yes, I read SEO studies for fun now apparently 😅) and it basically confirmed what a lot of us have been feeling. AI search is officially changing the game.

Tools like ChatGPT and even Google’s new AI results are now giving people direct answers without needing to click through a bunch of websites. No ads, no fluff, just... answers.

Here’s the wild bit:

AI search is growing so fast, it’s expected to overtake normal Google search by 2028.

People using AI search are 4x more likely to actually take action—like booking, buying, signing up.

And when AI answers show up, way fewer people are clicking through to websites.

So what does this mean? If you’ve got a website or you’re trying to be found online, it’s not just about ranking on Google anymore. You need to show up in these AI answers too.

I used to avoid SEO like the plague.

Design and development? Love it. But SEO always felt overwhelming. so many moving parts, so much jargon. I knew the basics like “make your site crawlable,”. Show up for your business name etc..

So recently, between client work and late nights, I decided to tackle it head-on. I dove into SEO courses, studied the algorithm, and soaked up everything I could. And then I gave myself a challenge:

If I could start ranking in one of the most competitive industries, web design & development ....... I could do the same for my clients.

Here’s the crazy part: as of yesterday, I outranked several big agencies on Google. 😅
(Yes, it might change. Algorithms are fickle. But still pretty proud.)

More importantly, this means I can now offer real SEO support to my clients, backed by results, not just theory.

If you're one of my clients and I’ve been talking your ear off about this… sorry, kind of. I’m just excited. 😄
