In PTE Academic Speaking, you usually lose marks when:

* Long pauses or hesitation happen often

* Pronunciation is unclear

* Speaking too fast or too slow

* Missing important words in Repeat Sentence or Retell Lecture

* Grammar mistakes affect clarity

* Low fluency and broken sentences

* Not completing the answer on time

* Background noise or low microphone volume

* Saying “umm”, “aaa”, too much

* Reading in a robotic way without natural rhythm
