Erase your SAS SSD drives at the firmware level.
Atola TaskForce 2 now supports SCSI Sanitize. It clears every user data area, including the blocks a regular overwrite can't reach. Start every case on a clean drive.

Wipe a bunch of drives in one click.
Atola TaskForce now has a Select all button for Multi-launch Wiping. You no longer need to select ports one by one. Connect your drives, select all, and start wiping.

For DFIR labs, this means:
- Less setup time between acquisitions
- No missed drives when you prep a batch

Every case starts on a clean drive. Now it takes less time to get there.

Your drive may be lying about its age. In 2025, a raid in Malaysia uncovered about 700 used Seagate drives being sold as new. How so: their SMART values had been reset. Atola TaskForce can now flag these drives. Its Diagnose module checks the Seagate FARM log against SMART for mismatches in hours, firmware revision, serial, or capacity.

The hashes don't match. The question is: where?
A new imaging session takes hours and doesn't tell you what went wrong. Somewhere among billions of sectors, there is a difference and you need to identify it. The new Compare module in TaskForce 2 checks every sector of the source drive against its image (drive or file) and shows exactly which sectors differ or are unreadable.
You can find it under the Other icon or run it via the API with the new /compare endpoint.

TaskForce 2026.10 is released!

According to the volume of improvements made by the Atola Technology team, this is a record-breaking firmware update. The most noticeable ones are:

▪️ Sector-by-sector comparison
Compare a drive or image file against another drive, another image, or a HEX/LBA pattern. Different and unreadable sectors are counted and logged.

▪️ Seagate FARM analysis
Diagnostics now cross-checks FARM data against SMART and drive identification information, highlighting discrepancies that may indicate tampering.

▪️ Custom wipe report templates
Create branded reports using HTML templates with dynamic fields for drive details, dates, results, and more.

▪️ Simpler batch workflows
Select all drives in Multi-launch Wiping and assign them to one case before starting.

▪️ Support for incomplete acquisitions
Access available data in partitions that extend beyond the reported device or image size.

TaskForce 2 also adds SCSI Sanitize for SAS SSDs.
