The official results are in! 🗳️

Elections Alberta has released the official results of the October 19, 2026 Alberta Referendum.

Questions 5 and 10 saw the highest voter turnout, at 70.4%.

The more your organization relies on government funding, the more accountable you become to government.

If a significant portion of your operating budget comes from public funding, you should expect performance expectations, financial oversight, and the possibility that funding levels may change from year to year.

Did you know that the date we celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada was actually determined by a government proclamation? Even Thanksgiving has a political history!

Although Thanksgiving has been officially observed annually in Canada since 1879, the date wasn't always consistent. It wasn't until 1957 that a federal proclamation established the second Monday in October as Thanksgiving Day, giving us the long weekend we know today.

A little Canadian political history to bring to your Thanksgiving table this year. 🦃
