Great spaces aren’t only seen, they’re heard.

Sound should never be an afterthought. The materials, dimensions and design of a room all affect how people hear, communicate and experience the space.

This NY Times article although a little older, is still a worthwhile read for architects, designers, contractors and anyone planning a new facility or renovation. Involve your audio and acoustical specialists early—the right decisions during the design stage can prevent expensive compromises later.

THROWBACK THURSDAY: ROCKIN’ RIVER FEST 2013

Taking it back to the summer of 2013, when Brad Paisley took the stage at Rockin’ River Fest!

It was a memorable weekend filled with great country music, an incredible crowd and the kind of live event energy that stays with you long after the final song.

BETWEEN THE SHOWS

The audience may only see the finished production, but the work continues long after the final song.

Back at the Allstar shop, equipment is unloaded, inspected, tested, repaired, cleaned and prepared for whatever comes next. Cases are reorganized, cables are checked and every department works to ensure the next production leaves the building ready to perform.

It may not be the most visible part of what we do, but it is one of the most important.

Great shows are built in the shop long before they reach the stage.

More than 40,000 students are returning to the University of Alberta, and Week of Welcome is ready to kick off another school year!

Happy Alberta Day! 🎉

There is plenty of free family fun to enjoy and so much to celebrate today at the Alberta Legislature Grounds!

The Allstar team will be hard at work on-site, helping bring this incredible celebration to life. The day features all sorts of live entertainment from many different talented groups and organizations. There will also be a bunch of food trucks, a marketplace, a distillery zone, BBQ, horse-drawn carriage rides and even a petting zoo.

The celebration finishes off with an incredible drone show as the sun sets over the Legislature Grounds! It should be a real sight to see!

Come celebrate Alberta, and enjoy everything the day has to offer.

WE’RE NOT JUST A REALLY BIG SHOW COMPANY

Allstar Show Industries may be known for major concerts, festivals and large-scale productions, but those aren’t the only events we’re proud to support.

We believe great events happen at every scale, and we’re always happy to help wherever we can.

This weekend, that means getting out into the community and lending a hand at the vintage tractor pulls with Strathcona Vintage Tractor Association. It may look a little different from the stages, video walls and concert productions you usually see from us, but it still takes dedicated people, careful preparation and a shared commitment to bringing the community together.

to PURE 2011—a massive production powered by Allstar Show Industries.

Our team supplied the complete production equipment package and the skilled technical crew needed to bring the event to life. At the heart of the design were more than 80 panels of VisuaLED, creating an immersive visual backdrop that transformed the room and amplified the energy of the night.
