Hello everyone,

We are very proud of our years of service for the Alberta Fire Bans and Radar Fox mobile apps. Over the years we have served many thousands of users, and learned how to (and sometimes how not to) develop apps.

We feel that now we have come to the end of the cycle for continuing support for these services. We only want to dedicate our support for services we can maintain the highest levels of quality and satisfaction for our users; this is why we have decided to permanently disable and remove from distribution both Alberta Fire Bans and Radar Fox.

Alberta Fire Bans and Radar Fox were our very first mobile app projects; passion projects made purely because we wanted them to exist.

We appreciate and thank you for your support and feedback as we've grown as developers, and for allowing us to provide this service to so many people completely for free with absolutely no ads.

Thanks to CBC Edmonton for featuring the Communikit app platform and how it's being used to connect Indigenous communities across Canada! Our team had a great time explaining how over 25 Indigenous Nations and counting are using Communikit to make sure their members on and off-reserve are able to keep up to date with their community.

Hearing about problems many Indigenous communities run into when it comes to communicating essential information with members, this software company has developed a series of customized apps to ease the spread of information.

Today is the very first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, honouring the survivors of residential schools, their families and communities, and the children who never made it home. Today is also Orange Shirt Day – representing those children whose culture was torn from them as part of the residential schooling system. Today is a day to listen and learn how we can do better as a country to show respect, kindness, and compassion to our Indigenous friends, neighbours, and family.

We’re drivers, commuters, cyclists, pedestrians and parents interested in fostering safe communities. Radar Fox was a passion project created to promote traffic safety. The app operates in the background, pulling current publicly-posted law enforcement data to audibly alert drivers of speed limits, school zones, and photo radar locations while they’re on the go - completely hands-free. Want to keep your route private? We thought of that, too. Route tracking can be easily disabled. Radar Fox was created with Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android.

Our team worked with the embedded software engineers at Levven Electronics to create a client-facing app. Swift and Kotlin were used to write and develop a custom interface, with first run screens to help users learn the app controls. This application helps new users set up a technologically advanced system with relative ease.

We wanted to create an app to help plan our next camping adventure, so we developed the Alberta Fire Bans app - an interactive platform that provides current fire advisory and restriction statuses across the province. The app displays detailed fire ban status reports and a visual map of regional bans and restrictions, so you can safely schedule your next marshmallow roast. Developed with Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android.
