Before the fall.

The garden, the forest.
Celebrating the growth and color before it drops and life becomes grey & green again.

Sales are a privilege.

It is ALWAYS a pleasure and a privilege to sell a painting.
Large or small.
Old or new.

It has found a new home.
and bringing joy to another heart.

sometimes hard to part with.

This special piece has finally found a home.
(I have been enjoying it in our house)

The dried flowers are from my collection in Australia. Proteas & banksias...
they are over 35 years old and have modeled for me MANY times.
The vase is a ceramic Orignal by a dear friend in Aus.

Since I was 16 - my continuing art practice has included LIFE DRAWING. From 2 minute sketches to sustained 20 min poses - fast gestural sketches to thoughtful portraits and anatomy studies.
Working on paper, with graphite, conte, charcoal and white chalks.

I usually stash them away - and consider it exercise for my visual and mark making skills.

I thought I would share the joy this year - and donate any sales proceeds to support the Life Drawing sessions here on the Sunshine Coast.

Venue rental, equiptment, lights, furnishing, model fees etc

And a shout out to those volunteers whose dedication makes it happen. Thankyou.

Watercolor. 8x10

Joyful hour spent in SPLIT Croatia.

The magical white glowing pavers - polished by hundereds of years of footfall.
Give subtle unexpected reflections.

I am so in love with architecture.
These ancient stone palaces have crazy angles and overhangs.

And the pale stone of Croatia shows every crack, crevice and ripple of their stonemason's chisel.

Magical.
