🧲 How can magnetics help geologists uncover new areas of interest?

At Yukon Metals’ AZ Copper-Gold Project, a 400 line-km UAV magnetic survey used the GEM Systems GSMP-35U potassium-vapour magnetometer to map magnetic patterns across the property.

The results highlighted two intersecting structural trends converging in an area not directly tested by drilling—helping guide further geological investigation.

🚁 What makes a good UAV magnetic survey?

A drone is only part of the equation.

Several factors can influence the quality of a UAV magnetic survey:

🔹 Sensor separation — reduce magnetic interference from the UAV
🔹 Flight altitude — balance coverage and resolution
🔹 Line spacing — match the survey design to the target
