From managing files to managing trust.
That was the big shift we saw at Reimagining DAM 2026 in Munich.

Over two days, 150+ DAM professionals, customers, partners, and industry experts came together and one thing became clear:
๐Ÿ’ก DAM is no longer just about storing and finding content. DAM is the engine behind how content flows, how itโ€™s governed, and ultimately how itโ€™s trusted.

From real-world workflows at organizations across industries like Equinor, MUNCH Museum, SNS Group, Sebrae, German Police Forces ๐Ÿš“ and a major Football Association โšฝ, to discussions on AI, content authenticity, and zero-trust infrastructure - these topics were ever-present:

โ–ถ๏ธ Content workflows are getting more complex
โ–ถ๏ธ AI is creating both, opportunities and risk
โ–ถ๏ธ Governance is essential for success
โฉ Trust is becoming a defining capability

And DAM is right at the center of it all.
If you want to understand where DAM is heading and what it means for content operations, this recap brings the key insights together into one story.

The conversation about women in tech used to focus on numbers. ๐Ÿ”ข
Today, the real story is about impact. โฉ

At Fotoware, women help shape the future of technology every day as innovators, decision-makers, and builders.

They define product direction, create value for customers, and build the systems organizations rely on to manage and move visual content worldwide โ€“ and thereby they directly influence how technology serves society.

This International Womenโ€™s Day, weโ€™re celebrating the people shaping what tech looks like next.

Last week, we had the pleasure of meeting with the team at Reuters to talk about something that matters deeply to both of us: trust in visual journalism. ๐Ÿ“ธ

In a time when images move faster than ever (and manipulation is easier than ever) Content Authenticity isnโ€™t a โ€œnice to haveโ€ but essential to preserving the truth.

Our collaboration around C2PA is focused on strengthening image provenance from the very first step. That means signing images from camera to server, preserving a transparent edit history, and clearly distinguishing AI-generated content.

What stood out in our conversation was this shared perspective:
Content Authenticity is about protecting credibility from capture to publication, without compromising safety, speed, or editorial control.

Important conversations. Important work. And an important step toward maintaining trust in journalism. ๐Ÿค

When the world tunes in to the 2026 Winter Olympics, millions of images will move across newsrooms and digital platforms in seconds. โ›ท๏ธ

Behind that real-time publishing? Digital Asset Management.

DAM systems are often the secret heroes behind publishing workflows for major sport events like the Olympic Games. They steer every step from high-volume photo ingestion in the field to selection, tagging, search, and global distribution.

Events like the Olympics generate millions of high-resolution images in a matter of days. And for media houses and agencies handling those images reliably and fast is everything. If ingestion, indexing, or search slows down, the moment is lost.

Fotostation was first used at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics and combined with Fotoware Veloz, this combination has supported sports photography professionals for more than 30 years. ๐ŸŽ–๏ธ
