What if the biggest risk to your business isn't disruption, but being unprepared for it?
The Circular Economy is reshaping industries, regulations, customer expectations, and business models faster than ever.

With Mitsubishi Electric, we looked beyond today's challenges and explored what the next 20 years could look like. Through strategic foresight, stakeholder interviews, trend analysis, and expert-led workshops, we developed 8 future scenarios, identified 10 business opportunities, and helped define the company's potential role in a circular future.

Because the future isn't something to predict. It's something to prepare for.

The question is:
Is your organization ready for the shifts that will define the next decade?

If you're exploring how emerging trends, sustainability, technology, or changing customer behaviors could impact your business, let's start the conversation.

📩 Connect with Mormedi to discover how scenario planning and strategic foresight can help your organization uncover opportunities before they become necessities.

What if the housing crisis isn't primarily a construction problem, but a systems design problem?

At Mormedi, we help organizations uncover new opportunities by challenging the assumptions behind products, services, and business models.

Housing is no exception.
For decades, homes have been treated as finished products: designed, built, delivered, and then expected to serve changing lives for decades.

But a home is not a product. It is a system of decisions.

Decisions about cost, adaptability, maintenance, sustainability, growth, and quality of life.
By applying strategic design thinking to housing, we can rethink not only how homes are built, but how they evolve over time.

A modular approach creates value beyond construction efficiency:
• Greater predictability in costs and timelines
• Reduced complexity and risk
• Flexibility to adapt as needs change
• Longer-term resilience for homeowners and communities

The opportunity is not simply to build faster.

It is to create housing systems that are more intelligent, more human, and better aligned with the realities of modern life.
Because houses should grow up, not just grow old.

The screen is no longer the interface.
Conversation is.

Generative multi-modal AI is redefining how people interact with products, services, and brands. We’re moving from tapping and typing to speaking, seeing, listening, and engaging more naturally with technology.

Why does this matter?

• AI can support and execute business processes in real time
• Voice and context create more human interactions
• Automation reduces operational costs
• 24/7 intelligent support improves accessibility and service

The opportunity isn’t just to add AI into existing interfaces, it’s to redesign experiences around human behavior.

At Mormedi, we explore the trends shaping the future of interaction design through our Trend Cards: a curated collection of emerging signals, technologies, and behavioral shifts impacting business and society.

🚨 Most smart home strategies are already becoming obsolete.

Consumers don’t want more apps, dashboards, or disconnected devices.
And companies that keep competing on hardware alone risk becoming invisible in the next wave of the home economy.

The real opportunity?
Owning the outcomes people actually care about:
⚡ lower energy costs
🛡️ safer homes
💙 better wellbeing
🧠 less complexity

In this quick conversation, Juliane Trummer, VP Strategy at Mormedi, and Fred Misik, Head of Design, discuss why the future of the smart home is shifting from connected products to orchestrated living, and what companies must do now to stay competitive.

From energy and insurance to telecom, healthcare, and consumer electronics, the home is rapidly becoming the next strategic battleground for cross-industry ecosystems.

Last week, our CEO Jaime Moreno attended the Railway Interior Innovation Summit USA organized by Red Cabin in Washington DC, one of the leading annual gatherings for operators, rolling stock manufacturers, and suppliers shaping the future of rail mobility.

The event highlighted the strong momentum of the railway industry in the United States, driven by both public and private investment. Among the key topics discussed were Amtrak’s fleet renewal program, including the new NextGen Acela trains by Alstom, Siemens Airo regional trains, and future long-distance rolling stock projects.

Another major focus was the success of Brightline, already operating between Miami and Orlando and preparing to launch high-speed rail service connecting Las Vegas and Los Angeles, one of the busiest transport corridors in the country.

Amtrak’s leadership team, including Roger Harris, Eliot Hamlisch, and Patricia Orfini, shared impressive business results and outlined a strategy centered on elevating the passenger experience from end to end.

A great opportunity to exchange ideas, explore industry innovation, and connect with global rail leaders.
Congratulations to Red Cabin for organizing another outstanding edition of this event.

Earlier this month, our CEO Jaime Moreno attended the Automated Mobility Summit in Zurich, one of Europe’s leading events focused on autonomous and automated mobility.

Hosted by the Swiss Association for Autonomous Mobility (SAAM), the summit brought together industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, startups, and technology companies to explore how automation is moving from pilot projects into real-world deployment.

From autonomous shuttles operating live without safety drivers to discussions around software-defined vehicles, AI-enabled mobility systems, regulation, and human-centered design, the event highlighted how rapidly the future of mobility is evolving.

One of the key takeaways from the summit was clear: the future of mobility will depend not only on technology, but on collaboration between all stakeholders, including regulators, to create connected, scalable, and trusted mobility ecosystems.

At Mormedi, we believe innovation must always be designed around people, creating mobility experiences that are seamless, intuitive, and meaningful for everyday life.

A great opportunity to exchange ideas, discover emerging trends, and connect with the leaders shaping the future of mobility.
