Qvik's statement on the 2023 Finnish government program on immigration

Qvik is a technology company founded in Finland, but our success has relied on both our domestic and international talent. We strongly sympathize with the Finnish movement that seeks to question the current government program on immigration-related laws, and second the opinions recently voiced by the Finnish start-up community.

We believe in an inclusive society that will keep up the promises made towards foreign professionals who have courageously chosen to build their careers, families, and lives in Finland. We feel privileged to have attracted an amazing community of professionals from 19 different nationalities, and hope to enjoy their company in the future, too.

We thus appeal to the Finnish government to consider reforms in a way that makes Finnish companies flourish together with foreign professionals.

The EU has recently approved a new pay transparency directive, expected to be implemented in Finland within the next few years. This directive aims to enhance salary visibility and narrow pay gaps between genders.
