a little teaser if what's to come.

Just a little note, I always feel that some in the community might think creating library's is straight forward as sampling and connecting a template to that library. This might be true for some developers systems. However usually I have to create new systems for nearly every release, This is because of Topology's of hardware.

The next release solves a problem I wasn't originally aware of because its hidden to analysis, tools that are regularly used to see this portion of envelopes are blind to it. So i developed my own tool to see it. Not only that we have a new solution for the given Problem in emulation. This is what I call a diode gate and release.

For those who have bought a product with a gate within the library. these will be updated also! Next new product is the most used hit channel comp/expander/gate in history!

So I always like debunking things on the interwebs.. A user of nebula and aqua said that the transient responce of aquas is superior. Of course this is just a sweeping generalisation! Its not about tech, its about engineering

The Pic attached (impulse response) shows my 2016 dualtech release with one sample decramp, with one of the latest aquas on right( heavy fir ringing) think 1 sample is the best you can get right? not sure i've even seen that in algo before?!!!

Here's a first in very basic blogs on compression and some hurdles crossed in nebula. First we look at the problem of putting nebula into feedback.

What happens when you take a sample set from a compressor and you try to make it fit its feedback topology?

One of the biggest issues facing a compressor in nebula is when a developer puts a already sampled feedback comp into a additional feedback envelope.
Take this first picture of a 10:1 ratio capture from a feedback compressor.
The developer thinks ah, I need to put this into actual feedback,

second picture below of nebula in feedback, as we can see, the compressor has softened its ratio because of its feedback loop. This now becomes a problem because we are unable to create its original ratio curve.

At timp libraries the problem is solved by special compensation template. This means we can emulate those higher ratios in feedback.

The next update will be my first eq elc24.

Once again the eq will be complete in two instances and on this occasion a new skin.

Following that…. a world famous dynamics channel. I’ve found a new solution to nailing the gates in nebula. I’ve designed an equivalent to diode and charge. This basically partly emulates the bit that is invisible to sampling… in the compressor section I have also invented a new way for nebula to smoth dual release characteristics. This release will be for very quick to set channel compression and gate/expansion

TP80 Released

This is the B sampled from the 16v format.

I hear the requests for the A Series and it is planned!

Based on a early 80’s eq in a 16v format. This eq is a fat active type with a wide frequency mid sweep. Specs- Low and high band in one instance, select between 8khz/12khz high shelf and 60/120hz low shelf Low mid bell, sweep between 100 and 1500hz High mid bell and filter select, sweep

Silk eq v4.5 Now Harmonics are in within both eq bands, eq complete in two instance ....Taken to the latest sonic standards

The SILK EQ Nebula Library is sampled from an EQ that has become very popular in recent years. The hardware is known for it’s rich low boost, smooth top end and broad sound… so boosting in large amounts with this library is not a problem! What’s new in v4.5? Now Harmonics are in within both

Just to let you know what I’m primarily working
On

1. Old eq updates
2. A active eq from the early 80’s
2. A compressor and eq from the same family

I keep working non stop…

3. I’d like opinions on 480l

I’m interested in users that have used other 480l plugins

The questions-

1.Would you buy a 480l reverb
Library? This question I ask is it worth
My time sampling.

2.what would you like to see in the library if it was made?
