VIBE Dredd. 🔊

The story behind Dredd is just as impressive as the system itself. Originally built as a working movie prop for the 1995 Judge Dredd film, the truck was later discovered by VIBE abandoned in a barn and in a serious state of disrepair.

Rather than letting a piece of movie and automotive history fade away, the VIBE team undertook a full restoration. It took an incredible 2,500 man hours to bring the vehicle back to life, with the team working shifts of up to 20 hours a day as the unveiling deadline approached.

When it finally debuted, Dredd became one of the most iconic demo vehicles in car audio history.

Inside was a monster BLACKAIR-powered system featuring:

🔊 4x BLACKAIR 6 speakers
🔊 4x QB69 speakers
🔊 24x SPACE II 12” subwoofers

Combined with over 900 feet of cable and 50,000 watts of power, Dredd was capable of producing an earth-shaking 155dB.

Before the latest generation arrived, there was this beast… 💥

The VIBE AC Series Bandpass enclosure from the original Black Air era was impossible to miss. With its signature crackle-finish cabinet, polished aluminium ports, and viewing window showcasing the motor structure, it looked every bit as aggressive as it sounded.
