Throughout the year, the TMC team are fortunate enough to travel across Europe, joining our clients on-site at key industry summits, congresses and courses.

But behind the polished delegate experience, what does a typical day really look like for those co-ordinating and contributing to these global events?

Senior Designer Luke recently took our wider team behind the scenes, lifting the curtain on how to settle into a new city and workspace, build relationships and meet unwavering print deadlines.

One of his best parts? Walking the venue and seeing the finished work (often the much-loved daily newspaper) in delegates’ hands, doing exactly what it was created to do.

Take a look through his most recent photo diary!

A crisis rarely arrives at a convenient time.

When media scrutiny begins, organisations may have only minutes to establish the facts, coordinate stakeholders and decide how to respond. Without a plan, valuable time is lost when the pressure is already at its highest.

A clear crisis communications plan helps teams respond calmly and consistently - so everyone knows what to do when an issue becomes public. In our latest insight piece, TMC's crisis comms guru, Alex, shares why the best time to prepare for a crisis is before one happens.

Over the past quarter, our team has been taking to the stage, hosting workshops and joining industry events across healthcare, technology and franchising. From exploring the impact of AI on communications to investing in our own learning and development, every conversation contributes to how we support our clients and the sectors they operate in.

Over the last few months, we've been proud to:

Launch a series of Neurodiversity Workshops for our team, delivered by Emma Myles from Pool Vocational College, helping us build greater understanding of neurodiversity and a more inclusive workplace.

Support Healthcare Director Jan, Senior Designer Luke and Medical Writer Emma as they headed to EuroPCR this June, producing daily newspapers for all delegates.

See our PR experts, Clare and Katie, present at the Puddleducks Franchising Annual Conference, discussing 'Why local PR and social media matter more than ever, and how AI is reshaping the communications landscape'.

Clare also attended the Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWiF) Awards and EWIB event, celebrating the achievements of women across the franchising sector and hearing from inspiring speakers and industry leaders.

A huge thank you to everyone who has invited us to contribute, collaborate and learn alongside them so far this year!

Great creative always starts with asking the right questions.

Our Design Director, PJ, and Marketing Director, Jess, are currently taking part in MAD//Masters with Rory Sutherland - a course exploring behavioural science, creativity and the often irrational ways people make decisions.

It is already prompting useful conversations across TMC.

How do people really interpret a message?
What makes someone hesitate?
Where does friction appear in a customer journey?
When could a small change in framing, timing or context make the biggest difference?

For us, this is where creativity becomes most valuable - when it helps solve the right problem, not just make the answer look good.

PJ and Jess will be bringing these learnings back into the wider TMC team, helping us apply more behavioural insight across strategy, creative, digital and content.

For our clients, that means more thoughtful recommendations, sharper creative decisions and communications built around how people actually think, feel and behave.

The digital landscape continues to move quickly, and building confidence, capability and practical understanding remains essential for businesses looking to grow and adapt.

Acknowledging this constant need for development, over the past two years, the team at Digital Cheshire and TMC have collectively planned and delivered 48 masterclasses across a mix of virtual and in-person sessions, covering key areas of digital marketing, content, social media, SEO, AI and online visibility.

It was fantastic to celebrate the end of the series with last week's event, giving us a chance to reflect on the impact of the programme with 500+ businesses supported, and 800+ attendees across the series.

Marketing has always been shaped by change. AI is simply the latest test of our adaptability.

TMC’s Marketing Director, Jess Peake, explores the ‘dark’ truth behind marketing’s AI readiness; from fast adoption and team confidence to process, governance and the careful balance between productivity and human judgement.

A thoughtful read for any marketing leader navigating AI integration with both ambition and caution.

“You think darkness is your ally?” It’s a line many will recognise, and for marketers, the metaphor holds up surprisingly well. Change can feel uncomfortable,

A career in communications can be difficult to picture from the outside.

You might witness the final campaign, the social post, the website or the event, but the thinking, collaboration and relationships behind it aren't always visible.

TMC's Future Vision programme is designed to change this; providing those who are exploring a career in marketing and communications the chance to experience agency life from the inside, spending time across different departments to understand how strategy, creative, digital and client services come together.

In 2025, Lonnie joined us on a work placement. Today, she is an invaluable member of our Client Services team, expertly managing her own clients and projects.

For TMC, Future Vision is about supporting the next generation of creative communicators with real insight, practical experience and the confidence to see where they could belong.
