We're proud to be supporting Sunswift Racing with our world-leading Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as they continue to push the boundaries of sustainable vehicle innovation.

At bf1systems, we're passionate about supporting projects that combine cutting-edge engineering with a commitment to creating a more sustainable future. Sunswift Racing proposed tribrid powertrain represents a world-first approach to personal mobility, significantly reducing reliance on traditional electrical and fuel infrastructure.

Efficiency is critical to the success of the project. Our TPMS provides a simple, easy-to-integrate solution that helps ensure compliance with Australian Design Rules while minimising implementation effort.

By delivering real-time tyre pressure and temperature data, the system enables the team to optimise tyre performance, reduce rolling resistance, and maximise energy efficiency throughout testing and competition challenges.

We're excited to play a small part in such an ambitious and forward-thinking project and look forward to following the team's progress.

Following on the success of the RHL4 laser ride height sensor, bf1systems' recently introduced RHL5 is the latest generation of our laser ride height sensors, bringing not only additional features compared to the RHL4, but also improved performance in high ambient light conditions.

Available in either a 200mm or 500mm measurement range option, the sensor is currently used in motorsport applications from Formula 1 to GT3, and as well as in automotive testing, all of which require reliable, repeatable data in all environments.
The major advantage of the RHL5 is its CAN which interface allows customers to modify the sensor's configuration whenever they want to tune it for the required performance, surface and conditions.

Configurable parameters within the sensor include measurement rate, measurement averaging and error handling, which means on any day in any weather you will always be able to set up the sensor for the conditions, ensuring the most accurate ride height data. This therefore also removes the requirement to purchase multiple sensors for different setups, reducing overall costs.

With operation at temperatures up to 90°C, and capability to work in ambient light conditions up to 40,000Lx, the sensor provides very few limitations to designers looking to integrate this into existing vehicle structures.

The RHL5 also comes as standard with a user replaceable lens, with the replacement kit costing only £49.

From factory floor… to free fall… the bf1systems team have done it! ✈️🪂

Last week, the team took the leap at Beccles Airfield, jumping from 13,000 feet and taking on an adrenaline-filled 60-second freefall in support of our chosen charity, Break charity.

What started as a challenge became something much bigger raising an incredible £2,921 to support young people in, around, and leaving care.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported along the way your generosity will help Break continue their vital work supporting young people at the moments they need it most.

An unforgettable experience, an amazing result, and a brilliant example of our values in action Commit, Be Courageous and Have Fun.

Great video from taking a look at how a tyre somehow stayed inflated after a hit, and explaining how our motorsport TPMS confirmed no loss of pressure in this instance. Also, a nice little cameo from our 1SYSTEM TPMS wheel sensor installed on the rim!

2 weeks to go… and it’s starting to get real ✈️🪂

On Wednesday 29th July at Beccles Airfield, the bf1systems team will swap solid ground for 15,000 feet in the air. With a 60-second freefall ahead of them, it’s safe to say the mix of nerves and excitement is starting to build.

It’s a big step outside the comfort zone, but the team are rising to the challenge, living our values of Commit, Be Courageous and Have Fun every step… and soon, every second of the way.

But it’s all for an incredible cause. Break charity supports young people in, around, and leaving care, providing vital support when it matters most.

The bf1systems team is at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix, working with the Formula 1 teams who rely on our products, including our Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS), strain gauging, laser ride height sensors, and pressure and temperature sensors.

While the action unfolds on track, it's always rewarding to see technologies we've developed being used throughout the paddock. Before the cars even leave the garage, our TPMS provides critical tyre pressure and temperature data, helping teams ensure their tyres are in optimal condition before they are fitted to the car.

Once on track, every lap generates thousands of data points. Behind many of those measurements are bf1systems technologies, engineered to deliver the accuracy, reliability and performance demanded in Formula 1.

Our TPMS has a long-standing presence in the championship and has now been used by Formula 1 teams for 25 seasons. We're proud that our technology continues to play a part in helping teams make critical decisions when performance matters most.

With 1 month to go, the countdown is on! ✈️🪂

In just a few weeks, the bf1systems team will be jumping from an impressive 15,000 feet, taking on an adrenaline-filled 60-second freefall all to raise money for Break charity. A huge challenge for a brilliant cause, supporting young people in, around and leaving care.

The team are fully embracing our values, Commit, Be Courageous and Have Fun and we couldn’t be prouder!

The circuit is dark, the temperature is dropping, and the race is far from decided.

This is where the 24 Hours of Spa is really won.

Not in the first stint, not in qualifying.

But in the consistency, resilience and decisions made through the night, when margins are small, where confidence in the data and control of the car come together to drive every call, every lap.

70 cars will take on this year’s biggest GT3 endurance race.
Behind the scenes:

🔸61% rely on bf1systems TPMS
🔸63% run our chassis and powertrain sensors
🔸36% use our steering wheels

At bf1systems, we’re proud to support teams and manufacturers across the grid in the moments that decide the race.

Good luck to everyone taking on the challenge this week.

Three races, three disciplines, one consistent requirement: performance under pressure.

Our Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) have achieved the Triple Crown of Motorsport, contributing to wins at:

🔸Indy 500
🔸Monaco Grand Prix
🔸Le Mans 24hr

Delivering real-time tyre pressure and temperature data on the car and in the garage, the system supports performance, safety and strategic decision-making where it matters most.

From flat-out oval racing to tight street circuits and 24-hour endurance, our TPMS operates reliably in the harshest environments, enabling tyre management, consistency and confidence across every phase of every race.

Proud to support teams competing at the very highest level of global motorsport.

24 hours. 5,000 km. 20 tyre changes, Tens of thousands of driver inputs.

At Le Mans, success is built on precision every lap, every stint, for 24 hours.

Drivers constantly adjust traction control, brake balance and fuel strategy often at speeds beyond 300 km/h. That demands intuitive steering wheel design, exceptional ergonomics and clear feedback to maximise performance.

Around 20 tyre changes mean strategy never stops. Real-time tyre pressure and temperature insight is critical to every decision.

Behind it all, high-accuracy sensing captures how every component performs under extreme loading across the 5,000 km, unlocking both reliability and performance.

At bf1systems, we bring it together:
🔸Steering wheels built for total driver confidence
🔸1SYSTEM TPMS for real-time tyre intelligence
🔸Precision sensing for critical performance insight

Because at Le Mans, performance comes down to control, feedback and trust in every system.
