Please be aware! There is a well known scam going around that someone may have just tried with me. They asked if I they could use my phone number to receive a verification code to gain access to their own Facebook account on a new device. In truth, they could be trying to gain access to your account and all they need is the verification code. Please be vigilant and don't trust any messages..even from friends or family. Stay safe everyone.

I had an interesting job on the bench yesterday. I was asked to repair a USB wireless dongle that was paired with an educational display belonging to a local meithrin (nursery for the non welsh speakers). I was told that they had been to another local repairer first only to be turned away as they had no one qualified to solder!?! Confusing to say the least. It was brought to me and fixed within 24hrs. The picture is the newly soldered connections on the back of a USB3 plug. Quite a tidy job if i do say so myself and possibly leading to a lot more work from the same group of customers. All the best everyone :)
