We've added 10 Electron Analog to stock.

After disappearing for 2 weeks past when we should have received them and launching a claim to have them replaced, we received them out of the blue, because DHL for unknown reasons routed them through Germany and they were lost since August 21st.

I was in contact with Corso (like an insurance division) for lost items from Electron and they were about to re-issue / refund when they finally arrived. Total sh*tshow.

Really poor service from DHL.

We'll soon be providing Xbox motherboards on the web-shop. Hopefully there will be a full range of refurbished 64mb, 128mb and also the specialist 1.4Ghz CPU upgraded type coming.

We've already had a couple of 1.4Ghz boards made in the past, so its a case of picking up where we left off. These will all have 128mb and premium Rubycon capacitors.

Without milling the heatsink, these will need to be DVD deleted builds due to the raised profile of the CPU. Personally I recommend a dual fan kit for good cooling too.

Cerbios or Stellar should be capable of handling the game speed without pre-patching anymore (I believe Cerbios introduced this in 3.x bios)

The motherboards are all the same, regardless of country. Just pair with the correct PSU and then design your build around it.

We'll also be providing stock from Steve Robinson directly who has great RAM upgrade skills but refurbishment will be handled by XDevPro for Warranty purposes. We've already been working with Steve, but now this will be us handling his stock as well.

(Paid for already guys so no point asking I'm afraid)

Last one before the hols? Hmm maybe, or may sneak a 1 0f 5000 green console in there time permitting... our current ready made consoles are dire at the moment. I realised I had sold 2 via PayPal but not removed from the website at the time.

So it looks like the sale of my Panzer Dragoon Orta is happening this Saturday.

I've spent several hours documenting all labels and the graphic just so I have all the details for a possible future reproduction attempt.

I have input micrometer dimensions and charted the gaps, lines and nodes in an AI model for future vectoring.

I never noticed the Xbox logo on the DVD bezel was black lettering.

If my Mrs hadn't lent me the money at the time, I'd never have owned this so guess who is getting a new kitchen if the sale goes through. (of course the correct answer to that is the entire household) and yes I did pay her the money back so she is no longer invested in the console, it's just a nice gesture. 😄

Customs have somehow charged crazy import fees on several of the last purchases from Electron Analog.

For example, 3x Electron X-Out had £44.61 fees added (£32.61 VAT plus £12 handling fee) which has not only never happened before ever, but breaks the import model completely.

Firstly, the value was £96. VAT on imports is 20% in the UK so this should have been £19.20 plus the handling fee (but normally I'm not charged it).

Now I'll have to either fill out a BOR286 form to claim the overpayment back with Border Force (for Royal Mail only) or for a private courier there is a separate process (EVRI or DHL as an example) using digital form C285.

The break-even cost of these is now £64.87 (unless part-refunded) plus postage so we may not be able to continue importing them for sale. I've been speaking to Shane at Electron about it, in the last hour.

Sad times in the UK. It appears the Government are over-taxing on imports to the tune of 36% if you include the handling fee (should be 20% max) to get extra money, probably because they have swamped the country with illegal immigrants then give them everything free.

Whats hilarious, is that if we post TO the US, we have to pay it all in advance, so why is it not done the same in reverse?

If you are wondering why this has been allowed to happen in Europe, well my answer would be that the baby boomer generation is at retirement age and living longer and it completely breaks the pension model. They seem to think this will fix it but it's actually financial su***de.

We will be phasing out Aladdin XT Plus 2 Modchips from our range of Modchips due to the incessant price rises on AliExpress. We're currently out of stock but the next 3 will be the last stock we supply.

Pushing £10 for a non-smart modchip before reprogramming, is just not economically viable for us or our customers, when there are more cost-effective avenues like making our own integrated Modxo board that could cost less.

We'll be looking into making our own soon, as I believe we can produce a cheaper variant than using off the shelf parts and sandwiched boards by just making one integrated board.

Just want to say thanks to everyone that followed this page, that finds Xbox work interesting.

OGX is quite a niche console in a world of consoles, so it's great to see how many people still have a passion for the mod scene in this area.

I do plan to bring some hopefully helpful or educational videos to the scene, as soon as I get chance. Camera's are set up, just need to set my Stream Deck back up for different scenes and cameras'.

I've recently been sorting out selling my boxed Panzer Dragoon Xbox to a production team that are looking to make 'history of gaming' videos. I've (just today) offered them an option to pay less and cut me in as an investor with access to my vast retro collection for extended video's but that's their choice and I want them to do whatever is right for the team.

Still need to get this dark crystal X3CP done. It's really chafing now, that custom builds have delayed this being done, but it's a 'bills first' situation when needing to spend profits on restocking the website.

Oh to be wealthy and have no first world problems

I'd best stop yapping, there are about 5 orders on the web-shop to sort out. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. 😅

Dyeing a crystal console in the UK carries about a £60 risk

but how do you justify spending hundreds on a crystal X3CP, stripping the faceplate and dyeing that?

You don't get it wrong or you never tell anyone 😅
