Setting sail on the horizon ⛵

Today marks the 2-year anniversary of Sea of Thieves arriving on PlayStation, and we’re proud to have played a part on that journey, where we supported our partners at Rare Ltd for over 18 months.

Collaborating together our global engineering and design teams helped to bring a range new features to life, from core engine improvements to custom game modes, and gameplay experiences.

A feel-good story for your Friday ✨

Josh our Lead Software Engineer used his volunteering leave to help organise 'Words in Watchet', an annual literary festival.

As part of it, he ran a children’s event in his local area where they worked together to build a mud monster out of poems, before he then gave a talk comparing storytelling in epic fantasy books and video games. Josh also rounded the event off by demonstrating a small Unity demo of the lead character from his own book. Great work Josh!

It’s brilliant to see our team sharing their creativity and giving back to the community, and we’re lucky to have some incredibly generous people at MPG who do amazing things for others. 💛

Spring has officially begun at MPG 🐣

Our HQ is feeling extra cheerful with some cracking Easter decorations bringing colour, creativity, and a little bit of fun! From pastel displays to chocolatey treats, we're fully embracing the festive spirit.

One of the highlights for this year is the ‘Guess how many eggs are in the jar’ challenge. We’ve got a jar full of Easter treats and our team across the world have been putting their guessing skills to the test!
