Marketing isn't just posting on social media. I've had versions of this conversation so many times. Somewhere along the way, marketing became confused with social media.
"I need someone to help with our marketing."
"Great. What's your marketing strategy?"
"...We need someone to post on Facebook."
But posting on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn is activity, but it isn't a marketing strategy. It's just one channel.
Real marketing starts much earlier. It begins with understanding who your ideal customer is, what problems they're trying to solve, why they should choose you instead of someone else, and how you communicate that message consistently.
Only then do you decide whether social media, email, SEO, advertising, networking, or your website is the best way to reach them.
Social media is the microphone 🎤
Marketing is deciding what to say, who you're saying it to, and why they should listen.
If your posts aren't generating enquiries, it might not be your content that's the problem... it might be the lack of strategy behind it.
