I want to share a discussion I had with a client today.
"Have you ever used AI to build an entire website?"
The answer: no... we still create our web projects the "old fashioned" way... manually.
I took the opportunity to tell them about a recent client we had, who had used AI to build them a single-page website. The design looked nice but the information needed a bit of tweaking. It was then that they realised - they didn't know HTML or CSS and therefore couldn't amend anything. Moving forward, they also wouldn't be able to adjust their prices or add any new products!
We were therefore commissioned to rebuild the website... and help to secure the domain they wanted, the webspace they would need and setup their new email account! Most importantly though, with a little help and guidance from Pye Design, they COULD amend things themselves because we'd provided them with a drag and drop layout that was much simpler to use.
Yes, AI is the future and yes, it currently replaces a lot of menial business admin tasks - I've even attended seminars where AI gurus have built entire companies using only AI! However, you only get out what you put in and the end product needs to be functional and something you can use and adjust if you need to.
