Our Senior Social Media Executive, Ivy, returned to her alma mater University of Surrey to join a final-year career Q&A panel!
She gave students interview tips, industry insights, and honest advice on breaking into the Marketing and Communications industry.
The students were keen to learn what a day in Ivy’s life at P1C looks like, she was able to tell them all about what her key roles and responsibilities are for Hard Rock Cafe, from content creation, paid media and reporting to attending campaign shoots. Students were also very interested to hear about how everyone on the panel made it to their current position and if they had any hints or tips to help them stand out in interviews and get a job in their chosen field of Marketing.
One question that stood out to Ivy in particular was about the most valuable skills when interviewing and working in our industry, to which Ivy responded: flexibility and the ability to adapt, due to the fast-paced nature of the modern world, especially when considering the emergence of AI and constant changes in the social media landscape.
