SIL is proud to support the second edition of the Learn AI School Innovation Challenge 2026, bringing together talented Grade 10 and Grade 12 students from state and private secondary schools across Mauritius and Rodrigues.

At the award ceremony, SIL had the privilege of presenting prizes to the 2nd Runner-Up winners in both categories, as well as the winners of the Jury Special Awards.

The competition highlighted the creativity, talent, and problem-solving capabilities of our young innovators, who harnessed the power of AI to address real challenges facing our communities. Their projects explored important themes such as environmental sustainability, energy optimisation, public service efficiency, agriculture, food security, and other priorities shaping the future of Mauritius.

As a technology company committed to driving innovation and digital transformation, SIL continues to support initiatives that inspire young people to embrace technology responsibly, develop future-ready skills, and create solutions that make a positive impact on society.

Powering the Next Wave of Digital Transformation in Mauritius and Beyond

SIL and Mauritius Telecom held an insightful working session in Ebene yesterday, marking another important milestone in strengthening our strategic collaboration.

Following the Memorandum of Understanding signed between both organisations, teams from SIL and Mauritius Telecom are already actively collaborating on initiatives aimed at accelerating digital transformation and innovation.

Experts from both organisations came together to exchange perspectives, align on priorities, and identify opportunities for joint innovation that will support citizens, government institutions, parastatal bodies, and private enterprises in Mauritius, while also creating opportunities across the African region.

By complementing our expertise and capabilities, we are committed to delivering impactful, value-driven solutions tailored to the evolving needs of organisations and communities. Building Strategic Alliances: Advancing Smart Storage & Distribution

As part of his ongoing visit to India, our Managing Director, Mr. Parmesh Pallanee, held high-level engagements with key stakeholders from the Department of Food and Public Distribution of India and the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) in New Delhi, accompanied by the Chief Business Officer of SILDIA, Mr. Anuj Vohra.

These discussions mark an important step towards supporting key sectors in Mauritius such as agriculture, commerce, and logistics through the automation of storage and distribution systems.

The collaboration seeks to leverage expertise in modern warehousing and digital solutions to enhance efficiency, transparency, and operational performance across the supply chain ecosystem.

During the visit, Mr. Pallanee met with Ms. Anita Karn, Additional Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution of India, further strengthening institutional ties and exploring avenues for cooperation.

As a gesture of appreciation and goodwill, tokens of thanks were presented to senior representatives, including the Additional Secretary of the Department of Food and Public Distribution of India, as well as the Chief Information Officer, Financial Director, and Managing Director of the Central Warehousing Corporation.

As part of his ongoing visit to India, our Managing Director, Mr. Parmesh Pallanee, engaged with the team at Blue Cloud Softech Solution Ltd (BCSSL), a globally certified technology leader delivering AI, IoT, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions.

This engagement reflects SIL’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that bring cutting-edge innovation closer to Mauritius. Discussions with BCSSL’s technical experts focused on exploring IoT and drone-enabled solutions to enhance efficiency in the utilities sector—unlocking new opportunities for smarter, more resilient operations.

Mr. Pallanee also experienced a mobile medical diagnosis kit capable of real-time connectivity with hospitals, mediclinics, doctors, and paramedics, highlighting the potential of collaborative innovation in advancing healthcare delivery.

He was received by the Managing Director of BCSSL, Mr. Vinod Babu, further reinforcing the relationship and paving the way for future collaboration.
